Presidential Cybersecurity in Chile has an efficient and noticeable advisor.

Less than one year ago, Mario Farren Risopatrón was appointed as the new Presidential Cybersecurity Advisor, by order of the president Sebastián Piñera.

The right choice of appointing this figure as an Advisor, former superintendent of Banks and Financial Institutions, put the chilean nation in the hands of a new coordinator of public and private sector, very capable to guide the political actions regarding cybercrimes in the national scope.

The Ministry of Interior and Public Security values Farren’s work, who with his vast experience in the banking sector in countries like Perú, Uruguay, México, Colombia, USA and of course Chile, has playe dan impeccable role during his period as an Advisor.

Among the most popular events chaired by Farren, stands out the Nominación 2019: Mujeres en Ciberseguridad, organized by the Chilean Cybersecurity Alliance (Alianza Chilena de Ciberseguridad o ACC).

Cybersecurity: This year’s projection

The priority for 2020 is to continue working on reinforcing different public structures to offer the maximum guarantee in control and cybercrime reduction.

Likewise, it is pretended to increase through sustained work, the incentive for chilean women’s integration in technology-related works, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

Also, there has been closing important deals and signed cooperation agreements with many latinoamerican countries to fight cybercrime, as is the case of Colombia.
